Wellness through the Autumn months

Themes of Autumn: Letting go – what do we need to let go of? Abundance, time of harvest. Personal reflection – time of thin veils.

Theme of Autumn – Letting go

“The trees show us how lovely it is to let things go”

Autumn marks the end of summer and the beginning of winter. The changes are most noticeable in the trees and their changing colours and their way of letting go of leaves. This is also a time of harvest and personal reflection. The changes in the seasons can bring up the need to reflect on what we need to let go of and what we are grateful for.

In times of transition we can feel vulnerable. This is a time to nourish ourselves and go inward. From the yang, masculine of summer, going outward and being outside to the yin of autumn going inwards and going indoors. What helps you feel nourished? From warming soups to comfy clothing, get into your Autumn vibes and mind yourself through this season.

Crystals for Autumn

Autumn is a time of release: letting go of what is no longer benefiting you – or even is holding you back. While we can work to release these energetic attachments any time of the year, Autumn is an especially good reminder that this is a part of growth and evolution, as the trees lose their leaves in the autumn, rest during the winter, and then regrow newer, stronger ones in the spring.

Citrine
Citrine embodies the energy of personal power, growth, and manifestation. As Autumn is a time to harvest what you’ve worked toward all year, Citrine helps you recognize your accomplishments and channel them into personal transformation. It supports self-confidence and the manifestation of goals, making it an excellent stone for evolving toward new horizons as the season shifts.

Carnelian

During fall, when energy may start to wane, Carnelian stokes the inner fire to keep your passion alive. It supports creativity and courage, helping you evolve and tackle personal growth goals with confidence, especially as you transition into a new phase of your life.

Harvest season

In Ireland in Autumn, especially this year, many fruits and berries are abundant for harvest. From apples to blackberries to Rose hips and Hawthorn berries. These are fun to collect and harvest.

Hawthorn berries – Historically, hawthorn has been used for heart disease as well as for digestive and kidney problems. It is now promoted for these uses as well as for anxiety, high or low blood pressure, and other conditions.

Rose hips – vitamin C, good for skin
The symbolism of the rose hip is that of waiting for true love. in contemporary witchcraft and folklore, rose hips are consumed to mend a broken heart

Blackberries – Blackberries have a rich historical and cultural significance, being prominent in culinary traditions and symbolizing abundance, prosperity, and good fortune.
In mythology and folklore, blackberries are seen as protective charms, symbols of love and desire, and sometimes depicted as forbidden fruits with consequences.
Blackberries are believed to have protective properties, being used to ward off evil spirits, provide spiritual guardianship, and safeguard against harm and misfortune.

Apples – In Celtic mythology, the apple holds a place of profound significance, symbolizing much more than just a fruit—it represents immortality, wisdom, and the connection between the mortal world and the divine.

Angels of Autumn

Autumn Themes – grief, loss, letting go, going inward, reflection
Archangel Michael’s energy guides Earthly developments as energy rises in human beings to the upper chakras.

The Sun enters the social sign of Libra this time of year, symbolizing the need for constant adjustment of the dynamic equilibrium necessary to maintain right human relations between self and other, between individual and social priorities. Libra is often pictured as Lady Justice for that reason.

The Autumn Equinox is always about balancing social and individual needs, and about balancing the energy of male and female within each one of us. So this is the perfect time to take a step back from impulsive action, meditate to attain clear vision, and then be sure that your intended actions reflect the best and highest good for all involved. Share your blessings with those in need in Autumn Equinox week and you will align yourself with the most positive energy of the moment.

To protect yourself against ambient conflicted energies, astral glamours and social confusion, call upon Archangel Michael, the presiding Angel of the Autumn season.
